Position Summary/Purpose:

This is a face-to-face part time opportunity. MUST be available to come to the main campus at scheduled time.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities/Essential Functions:

  • Responsibilities include equipping students with the required skill set, facilitating classroom discussions, assessing student performance and preparing students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession. 
  • Assists instruction with in-class activities, including proctoring examinations.
  • Observes students’ performance, and records relevant data to aid instructor in assessing progress
  • Coordinates study groups outside of class to tutor students on class material
  • May facilitate additional lectures as a refresher to classroom formal lecture, office hours maybe required
  • Assists with grading assignments
  • Proctors occasional make up examinations/assignments
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.

Equipment Used and Responsibility:

  • Computer device with access to wifi needed

Qualifications:

  • B or higher in assigned course
  • Must be able to communicate topics as assigned by instructor

Experience/Education:

Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:

  • Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.
  • Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
  • Maintain good financial and academic (SAP)standing with the University.

You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.

Pay Rate: Minimum Wage
