The Transfer Planning Coordinator primarily serves as a transfer advisor/advising consultant to students. The coordinator will be responsible for meeting with students to assist in creating their transfer plan. The coordinator will also assist the Director, PLA and Transfer Services in planning transfer fairs and promoting transfer at various Bucks Open Houses and other events as needed. The Transfer Planning Coordinator will share the responsibilities of classroom presentations for all four campuses.

Essential Functions

  • Meet with students for transfer planning and respond to transfer advising questions via email, by phone, and in person.

  • Assist in designing, coordinating, and implementing transfer fair programs for all four Bucks campuses.

  • Conduct transfer presentations as requested by instructors and as needed for all four campuses.

  • Maintain a visible and approachable presence across campuses by regularly engaging with students in public spaces and common areas regarding transfer planning.

  • Collaborate with student services, academic departments, and student organizations to host informational pop-ups, tabling events, and transfer-related activities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree with at least four years of work experience, or a Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum of one to two years of experience working directly with students in a higher education environment required

  • Knowledge of the process of academic advising

  • Knowledge of transfer and/or community colleges preferred

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and a student record system

  • Communication and interpersonal skills

  • Organizational and supervisory skills

  • Analytic and decision making abilities

  • Ability to multi-task

Salary Range $50,618 - $64,630 (commensurate with experience)
