Full Sail University, the leader in education for the Entertainment, Media and Technology industries, is seeking a talented and creative Social Media Video Specialist to join our marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating engaging short-form video content for our TikTok, Instagram, and other short-form video platforms, including both organic and advertising content. Candidates for this position must possess a minimum of 2-3 years of experience working in video capturing or editing or social media for a brand or agency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Develop, capture, and edit short-form video content for channels such as TikTok and Instagram, including organic and advertising content. 

• Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling stories that resonate with our target audience. 

• Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends and platform features to ensure our content remains fresh and engaging. 

• Manage video projects from concept to completion, including pre-production planning, filming, and post-production editing. 

• Ensure that all content adheres to the Full Sail University brand guidelines and meets quality standards. 

• Work alongside the social media and marketing teams to performance metrics and adjust content strategies as needed to optimize engagement and reach.

Required Qualifications and Skills: 

• At least 2 years of video capturing and editing or social media content experience. 

• Proficient with DSLR and mirrorless cameras, as well as lighting equipment. 

• In-depth knowledge of editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or a comparable software application. 

• Strong storytelling and visual communication skills. 

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines, while maintaining attention to detail. 

• Knowledge of current social media trends, specifically on TikTok and Instagram. 

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills. 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills (not required but a plus): 

• Proficiency in motion graphics and animation using Adobe After Effects. 

Education and/or Experience: 

• Must have a minimum of two (2) years related and verifiable work experience

• Required to hold a Bachelor's degree in film, media production, digital media, marketing, or a related field. 

Environmental Factors/Physical Demands: 

Work is performed in an office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have the ability to maintain active customer and employee communication; access, input and retrieve information from the computer system; enter alphanumeric data into a computerized system often while listening on the telephone. May be subject to bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping and lifting up to thirty (30) pounds.
