PCA Kindergarten Faculty


 

The K4 Assistant Faculty assists the K4 Lead Faculty in providing students an excellent Christ-centered, traditional education, carefully following the Abeka curriculum. The Assistant Faculty works with the Lead Faculty, students, parents, and Administration to encourage students' academic, social, and spiritual development.


 

Teach Lessons

Prepare, deliver, and assess highly effective lessons under guidance of Lead Faculty. Ensure students understand and retain concepts, by actively engaging them in the learning process. Provide positive feedback to students to encourage excitement to learn. Maintain accurate records.

Invest in Students

Foster a supportive, structured, well-managed culture of excellence, conducive to academic, social, and spiritual development. Train students to adjust to classroom setting, to respect authority, and to be kind. Make your classroom an inviting, clean, motivating place to learn through bulletin boards and other decorations. Monitor student behavior in a variety of school settings to provide a safe and positive environment.

Communicate with Parents

Communicate with parents under direction of Lead Faculty regarding student behavior, goals, progress, and suggestions for improvement at school and/or reinforcements at home. Meet with individual students as needed to encourage progress.

Assist Other Areas

Assist in other areas such as with K5 graduation and rehearsals. Assist with Parent-Teacher Meetings as scheduled. Attend faculty meetings and yearly teacher conferences.

PCC degree - Early Childhood Education

1+ years working with children, PCC internship
