POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Head of Production & Development, Sandbox Films seeks a Production Manager who is responsible for aiding in the production management of all films in development and production: tracking film assets and deliverables, attending and scheduling regular meetings with artists, assessing monthly project cost reports, assessing budgets, aiding in booking crews and/or post production facilities, and keeping all project information up to date on Airtable. This candidate will be responsible for building organizational systems for Sandbox documentaries and establishing accounting and insurance systems for productions. The ideal candidate should bring film and production experience as a line producer, production manager, or co-producer and a genuine passion for both formally expansive and commercially successful documentary, as well as innovative science storytelling. This is a great position for someone hoping to advance their career in the independent film industry and gain valuable experience in all aspects of documentary production.
This is a temporary position that is expected to last for three months. It could become permanent for the right candidate. This position is based on-site in the Simons Foundation offices in New York City. For more information, visit simonsfoundation.org/careers.
