Summary of Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct field surveys to identify and monitor endangered and threatened butterfly and other pollinator species in transmission line corridors (80–90% of time)
• Support environmental review and permitting processes with biological data and field observations (5–10%)
• Perform data entry and reporting for ecological fieldwork, including GIS mapping and online documentation (5–10%)
• Collaborate with utility industry professionals and environmental consultants through project work and networking
• Contribute to the energy transition by supporting sustainable vegetation management practices
What You’ll Bring
You’re a student working toward a bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas (or a related field):
• Biology
• Ecology
• Environmental Science
• Conservation
• Natural Resources
• Or related environmental fields
You’re curious, detail-oriented, and passionate about conservation and sustainability. You enjoy working outdoors, collecting data, and contributing to environmental solutions that align with the needs of energy infrastructure.

The pay range for this position is $23-27/hr. The pay range is a general guideline. Employment offers are evaluated individually and consider qualifications, experience and academic achievements.
