TRUMPF is seeking candidates for an onsite internship in our Flexible Systems Department at our Hoffman Estates, IL location. This internship will provide a college-level student with practical and professional experience that will enhance and compliment their classroom learning. This internship will be January 2026 to August 2026 for at least 25-32 hours a week.
Principles Roles & Responsibilities:
1) Support layout engineers; prepare layout and foundation drawings
- process buildings scans
- prepare system 3D assemblies
- prepare 2D Layout and foundation drawings
2) Create technical documentation:
- System configuration overview (e.g. LiftMaster, Tube Storage)
- Prepare guidelines for layout process
3) Support with technical library:
- Create SmartSheet Dashboard to allow easy entry of topics
- Create work instruction
Qualifications
Must be studying Mechanical Engineer or related field
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail is required. Strong inter-personal communication skills and ability to work as a team player.
Pay Range: $17-24
Education
Must be a student enrolled in an accredited university or institution pursuing an undergraduate’s degree in a related field
