Purpose and Job Summary

The Data Analytics Intern is an exciting opportunity to join a team driving improvement in analytics, data management and data quality at NXT Capital. The interns will have the opportunity to work on initiatives that directly impact senior leadership, investors, and corporate reporting. This role will partner and collaborate with technology teams, NXT business functions and ORIX corporate functions to deliver on these objectives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Analytics

• ​Work with business leaders to drive actionable insights that results in more informed business decision-making, improved risk management and responsiveness including operational and ad hoc analysis.

• Example projects: Preparing summaries of our portfolio analyzing trends in interest rates and loan behavior. Design reports for use by business leaders for those trends.

Data Management & Data Quality

• Manage the delivery data needs for NXT Capital and framework to enhance data quality, oversee quality checks, and consistency, including data definitions.

• Example projects: Analyze historical data to identify differences, root causes and propose steps to clean up data

Innovation

• Identify, analyze, and drive innovative technical, process and business solutions including the use of AI and Robotics to enhance analytics and drive process efficiency.

• Example projects: Develop robotics solutions to automate activities. Analyze new vendor solutions leveraging AI or other technologies to improve data, analytics and operational efficiency.

Annual base salary gross: $20.00 - $25.00/hr (IL only).  The base hourly range represents the estimated low and high end of ORIX’s salary for this position based on geography. Actual base salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base pay is one component of ORIX’s total compensation package for employees.
