Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field plus five (5) years of related experience. Experience cannot be substituted for educational requirement. Experience in state government, higher education or healthcare settings; knowledge and previous use of teammate software preferred.
Certifications, Licenses or Registration Required: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
Knowledge of Financial/Business Analysis Techniques. Knowledge of applicable federal, state, local, and institutional laws, regulations, and policies. Verbal and written communication skills. Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications. Interpersonal skill to interact with a wide range of constituencies. Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and direct a comprehensive institutional internal audit program. Ability to analyze and solve problems. Ability to perform and evaluate the quality of audit work. Ability to train, supervise, and motivate employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Physical and Environmental Demands
Requires occasional travelling to offsite locations, frequent activities subject to significant volume changes of a seasonal/clinical nature, constant work produced subject to precise measures of quantity and quality, occasional bending, occasional lifting and carrying up to 10 pounds, occasional crouching/stooping, occasional driving, occasional kneeling, occasional reaching, constant sitting, frequent standing, occasional twisting, and frequent walking. (occasional-up to 20%, frequent-from 21% to 50%, constant-51% or more)
