Under direction of the Sr Facility Manager this role works as a team member in an Operations & Maintenance organization that provides a variety of O&M services within a 24/7/365 environment and will be responsible for keeping our buildings in a clean and orderly condition. This role will perform cleaning duties such as sweeping , mopping and waxing , dusting , deep cleaning of all bathrooms and break areas and removing trash and recycling.

General Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Responsible to the Sr Facility Manager for effectively completing assigned tasks in the Operations of the Data Center as well as any non-DC space(s) assigned.

• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing and vacuuming. This includes the use and care of floor cleaning machines and buffers.

• Breakroom / kitchenette cleaning including sinks, countertops, tables and appliances and replenishment of supplies

• Gather, empty, and discard trash and recycling.

• Clean windows, mirrors and other glass surfaces.

• Restroom cleaning and disinfecting of sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, and floors including cleaning of fixtures and replenishment of supplies

• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.

• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.

• Dust furniture, walls, machines, and window treatments.

• Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.

• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.

• Sometimes move equipment and supplies.

• Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.

• Able to be a self starter with little supervision.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Ability to push/pull carts, buggies and dollies loaded with supplies.

• Unrestricted ability to repetitiously bend, stoop squat, stand, walk, climb, twist, turn and reach out.

• Ability to repetitiously bend (stoop and/or squat) to lift items that weigh up to 50 Lbs.

• Ability to stand on concrete floor approximately 50-75% of shift.

• Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with co-workers and customers.

• Ability to sign and record numbers by hand and to make entries on records and prepare reports.

• Ability to count, add subtract and balance columns of numbers.
