Location: Candidate must be located in Omaha, Nebraska or Des Moines, IA.

Position Summary:

In this remote role, you will be responsible for generating and closing new business opportunities (Whitespace) within your region of Nebraska and Iowa which will consist of some existing customer accounts but with emphasis on net-new logo acquisition and development of thriving channel partner relationships. You are a new business hunter and relationship seller to C level audiences and key risk management and compliance stakeholders predominantly in InfoSec/SOC roles and responsibilities.  Leveraging your proven success and background in Enterprise Security sales in prospecting and landing new logo accounts, you have a results-oriented mindset, a disciplined approach to productive revenue-generating engagements and activities with prospects, partners, and customers on a daily and weekly basis, with a passion for over-achieving sales targets with limited supervision while exceeding customer expectations. You will be playing a key role by influencing your prospects, partners, and customers to buy Trend Micro cybersecurity solutions in this highly competitive security sales environment. To be successful in this position you will fully understand all aspects of complex selling in an enterprise technology market and proactively put them to practice consistently with resilience and a winning mindset.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of Trend Micro products, services and processes and the cybersecurity industry.

  • Possess a creative, business expansion mindset combined with an autonomous, proactive attitude, focused on investing the right level of effort with resourceful AI-guided strategies to achieve significant results and successful outcomes.

  • Maintain a high level of weekly in-field travel and productivity with prospects, channel partners, and customers through discovery meetings, demo discussions, POC engagements, client and partner lunches, happy hours, and walk-ins at prospect organizations.

  • Maintain regular customer and channel partner cadence conversations, technical road map updates, and health checks working collaboratively with Trend team members.

  • Represent Trend at local cybersecurity industry events, engaging with local cybersecurity organizations, and attending channel partner events to promote Trend, become known in the local cybersecurity community, and elevate the Trend brand within the territory.

  • Use all available sales tools with emphasis on disciplined daily usage of AI resources for ensuring highly effective strategy development and execution for maximum efficiency and success.

  • Create and maintain a weekly opportunity forecast as well as develop, manage, and report on a sales report pipeline within the territory.

  • Follow sound sales processes and steps for creating, implementing, periodically adjusting a strategic territory plan for overachieving aggressive revenue targets.

  • Promote special programs, marketing events, and channel partner events to all accounts within your territory.

  • Develop and maintain senior level relationships within prospect, channel partner, and customer organizations.

  • Work closely with channel partner reps in account mapping activities, participate in sales calls, and host customer events on a regular/weekly basis.

  • Develop sales Account plan and execute for current Prospect, Customer, and Channel Partners/ Cloud Alliances to identify and develop new business opportunities in your territory.

  • Report back changing market conditions to sales, channel, and marketing leadership.

  • Adhere to CRM, business systems, and activity standards.

  • Persevere, remain optimistic, and be driven to overcome obstacles with a tactful sensitivity and emotional IQ for what matters to the prospect, partner, or customer, aligning the delivery of value to their key concerns and use case requirements while upholding the Trend brand and reputation.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience of security sales or Enterprise Software Sales.

  • Experience selling to CSO and Director of Security level contacts within an enterprise.

  • Successful experience working with channels partners and capturing mindshare/buy-in of channel partners not familiar with your products, services, or value proposition.

  • Proven record of closing large enterprise security transactions ($100k-1M+).

  • Proven record of growing existing logos/capturing “white space” within an organization.

  • Methodical sales process adherence coupled with strong negotiation and closing skills including a demonstrated ability to manage a complex sales cycle to closure.

  • History of extensive and consistently successful cold calling skills to develop pipeline with disciplined lead generation/business development acument and commitment to weekly prospecting.

  • To be successful in this role, you will need to:

    • Have strong qualification skills and ability to overcome biases/objections with emotional IQ and empathetic persuasiveness.

    • Be able to develop new pipeline opportunities on a weekly basis.

    • Be able to exceed individual quarterly quotas.

    • Have experience in Sales Methodology like MEDDPICC, Sandler, Challenger or others.

    • Maintain resilience, positivity, and belief in your ability to win.
