Works independently, exercising good judgment and discretion while providing practicum and clinical placement support to the MSN, APRN, and DNP programs within the School of Nursing (SON). Interfaces with students and preceptors to maintain practicum tracking and data reporting for compliance of all doctoral-level nursing students.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists students in securing sites and preceptors for completion of practicum.
- Sub-Administrator of clinical placement databases.
- Work with students, the Director of Accreditation and State/National Compliance, and programmatic Chairs to ensure contracts meet University regulations, student needs, and requirements of the SON.
- Verifies preceptor credentials, professional licenses, and qualifications.
- Works closely with programmatic Field Director in preceptor onboarding
- Work with preceptors to complete requirements for becoming compliant with SON policy and State regulations.
- Verify student compliance with CastleBranch databases. This includes but is not limited to verification of background check, drug screen, FBI fingerprinting, immunizations, CPR and all other requirements including HIPAA and OSHA education. Also required to ensure compliance of all students with practicum site requirements and Liberty University SON are met.
- Maintains database to generate reports each semester on Student Placement.
- Maintain spreadsheets of practicum hours required/completed for each student in doctoral-level programs and send weekly reports to programmatic Field Director or programmatic Chair.
- Attends department meetings that support graduate and doctoral programs.
- Provide support to special projects as assigned.

Education and Experience
- Four-year college degree, concentration in business or another related field.
- Strong business experience.
- Strong interpersonal, customer service, presentation, and communication skills required.

- Preferred experience working in a higher education setting.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills and excellent public relations skills.

Work Environment
The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is a climate-controlled office setting. It is well lighted and the noise level is moderate.
Driving Requirements
Use of one’s personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) is required for travel in the performance of the essential functions of this position. Proof of a valid Virginia driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required.
