The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) provides intensive medication compliance support to patients/clients under the direction of a physician or nursing staff.
This position will be working Monday to Friday from 12 pm to 8 pm.

- Complete timely and accurate documentation as per Health System/affiliate policy.
- Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients as described in nit/department-based competencies, policies, and procedures.
- Provide care as directed to achieve desired outcomes for individuals newborn thru geriatric.
- Complete, check, and reconcile MARs. Maintain accurate med lists in collaboration with providers and pharmacy. Provides education to patients/clients regarding medication compliance per state approved procedures and established policies and procedures
- Contribute to the provision of quality care through techniques that support and achieve positive outcomes
- Meet scheduling requirements including nights, weekends, holidays and call.
- Act in accordance with the established mission, vision, and values.
- Abide by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with patients/clients and their representatives, team members, contractors, physicians, peers, outside agencies, and the public.

Minimum Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
- Completion of an approved CMA class
- At least 21 years old (Crisis)
Required License/Certifications/Registrations
- Current CMA Certification in the State of Kansas
- Current BLS/CPR card from approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation, whichever comes first.

- Two or more years of professional experience in a similar environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Accomplished basic medication administration
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (verbally and through written documentation)
- Proficient computer skills
- Working knowledge of math and dosing
- Working knowledge of pharmacology

- Light Work: Occasionally exerting up to 25 lbs - frequently exerting up to 10 lbs. 11-25% of the day may be standing or walking.
