Oversee the delivery of mental health case management services to individuals in the community. Provides support, supervision, and training to the assigned team.
Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the initial orientation of new staff as well as on-going training of staff.
  • Maintain caseload assignments and update on status of clients.
  • Monitor staff documentation for accuracy, quality and timeliness.
  • Monitor compliance with billable hours expectations and provides counsel to staff.
  • Responsible for processing of payroll for the team and for monitoring the group budget, both expenses and revenue.
  • Serve on the management team as part of the assigned department.
  • Serve as an active participant in the annual development and implementation of related programs.
  • Maintain a reduced caseload and direct productivity level as determined by the Director.
  • Meet regularly with team, review monthly productivity performance, and complete periodic audits of frequency and balance of services.
  • Act in accordance with the established mission, vision, and values.
  • Abide by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI).
  • Maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with patients/clients and their representatives, team members, contractors, physicians, peers, outside agencies, and the public.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s level degree (or higher) in Social Work, Marriage and Family, Psychology, Counseling, or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years in a related field.

Required License/Certifications/Registrations

  • Kansas Driver’s License (if position requires driving)
  • Auto Insurance equal to or greater than the Kansas Insurance requirements (if position requires driving)
  • Completion of CPST Case Management training, KHS training, pass KBI, adult abuse registry, and motor vehicle screens.
  • Completion of Children Case Management training within 60 days of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Three to five years’ experience in the direct provision of community based services. A preference for an individual with demonstrated supervisory and organization skills.

Preferred License/Certifications/Registrations

  • LMSW, LMFT, LMLP or LPC, or
  • The clinical version of any of the above

  • Strong interpersonal skills in visualizing strengths, inspiring potential, empowering and mobilizing staff to enhance excellence in positive, proactive service delivery model.
  • A demonstrated leadership ability to communicate effectively, listen actively and elicit information using strategic thinking to encourage credibility when giving and receiving day-to-day feedback.
  • Strong negotiation skills working in collaboration with diverse populations and various levels of management and community partners

  • Light Work: Occasionally exerting up to 25 lbs - frequently exerting up to 10 lbs. 11-25% of the day may be standing or walking.
