THE ROLE: Director, Generative AI Media Solutions
As the Director of AI Media Solutions, you will be at the forefront of shaping A+E’s application of cutting-edge AI technologies to revolutionize content creation, media workflows, and storytelling. This role will lead the design, prototyping, and scaling of AI-powered tools and platforms that enhance creative capabilities, streamline operations, and unlock new business value.
You will serve as a strategic thought partner to product, technology, creative, and editorial leaders—bringing technical insight, a product mindset, and a passion for innovation. This is a high-visibility role ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of creativity and emerging technology and can turn possibilities into tangible, ethical solutions.
MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Strategic AI Leadership: Develop and lead A+E’s strategy for leveraging generative AI across content creation, marketing, production, and post-production workflows.
Cross-Functional Innovation: Partner with internal teams—including Product, Creative, Editorial, Legal, and Technology—to identify and validate high-impact AI use cases.
Solution Design & Pilot Development: Translate opportunities into prototypes and scalable solutions using platforms such as OpenAI, Runway, Adobe Firefly, ElevenLabs, and other cutting-edge models.
Operationalize AI Tools: Drive roadmap development and implementation plans for internal generative tools (e.g., synthetic video generation, AI-enabled image/voice production, automated tagging/classification).
Governance & Responsible AI: Partner with Legal, HR, and senior leadership to define ethical standards, usage policies, and data governance frameworks for AI-generated content.
Industry Engagement: Stay ahead of emerging trends in generative AI and media tech; evaluate vendors and research partnerships to ensure A+E remains on the leading edge.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
8–10+ years of experience in content production with a focus on technology and software tools.
Strong understanding of generative AI technologies, including large language models (LLMs), text-to-image, text-to-video, and synthetic voice applications.
Demonstrated success workflows in a creative or media environment.
Ability to translate technical AI concepts into actionable business and creative solutions.
Experienced working cross-functionally with both technical and creative stakeholders.
Clear understanding of the ethical, legal, and IP considerations associated with AI-generated content.
Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to operate autonomously and drive initiatives forward.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Comfortable working with creative teams and leadership.
Understanding of LLMs, RAG, and video/audio models.
The annual/hourly pay range displayed serves as a good faith estimate of the
minimum and maximum base pay range for this role. Compensation for the role will
be based on a number of different factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills,
