In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:
Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.
Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.
A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.
Federal Work Study student may apply.
In good disciplinary standing.
Must be located in the U.S.
Job Duties:
UG Vocal Pedagogy assistants will attend all meetings of the Vocal Pedagogy 1 & 2 class; their duties inside and outside of the classroom will include photocopying, collecting homework, monitoring exams, taking attendance, and assisting in facilitating study sessions. This job is on campus and takes place primarily in 8TF. This position is for Graduate Vocal Pedagogy MFA or MM majors currently enrolled at the Conservatory. Assistants must have working knowledge of the basic content of this class; having taken an undergraduate pedagogy class in their own Undergraduate degree program is a plus.

Skills Learned:
UG Pedagogy assistants will have the opportunity to watch a faculty member present basic pedagogical information over the course of two semesters and to see them engage the students in using that information through demonstration teaching and active class participation. They will see how these students are tested and the range of ways that material is effectively presented to students at this level.
