In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:
Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.
Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.
A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.
Federal Work Study student may apply.
In good disciplinary standing.
Must be located in the U.S.
Provide general administrative assistance to the marketing and communications staff
Create, edit, and update website event pages
Conceptualize and draft digital editorial pieces
Assist with performance promotion (ex. create digital signage, draft social copy)
Proof event listings as needed
Support social media projects as needed
Contribute student perspective and ideas on various marketing initiatives
Other duties as assigned
Excellent writing and editing skills
Familiarity with various platforms like website content management systems (Drupal), Asana, Smarsheet and Google Suite (Google Docs, Spreadsheets, Drive, etc.)
Ability to adhere to brand visual guidelines and follow direction
General knowledge of or willingness to learn Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator) and Marq (an online graphic design program)
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Responsive and dependable
Enthusiastic team player who also works well independently
Fast learner
Ability to commit to a consistent weekly work schedule
