Responsible for maintaining the overall branding and look for Student Activities and approximately 80 diverse events each year designed for the Liberty University student body. Oversees the production of a variety of design, film, photography, and social media content for various events and promotions. Responsible for content editing the Student Activities website and all department related marketing materials and written pieces. Creates and oversees an annual marketing plan and manages all projects from initiation to completion. Regularly coordinate with the University Marketing Department, to coordinate additional projects and receive approval. Directly oversee Student Activities full time, part time, and student employees through hiring, training, developing, and evaluating. Direct the tasks of all part time and student employees as they prepare for and work events. Remain up to date on industry standards and performance benchmarks and ensure that all programming, events, and marketing materials and methods remain effective and current. Perform all other tasks assigned by the Director of Student Activities. Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s mission. Occasionally oversee and assist with events or operations during evening, nights or long weekend hours.
This position is responsible for up to 1 full time, and 6 student employees.
Problem Solving
The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is split between a climate-controlled office setting and various outdoor and indoor event venues. Areas are well lit and the noise level is moderate to high.
Use of one’s personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) is required for travel in the performance of the essential functions of this position. Proof of a valid Virginia driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required.
