Job Summary:
The position will work with the Computational Solid Mechanics (CSM) Research Group and Center for GeoInformatics (C4G) on research project pertaining to modelling of subsidence process in coastal Louisiana due to a variety of causes including tectonic activities, holocene sediment compaction, fluid withdrawal etc. Should possess effective oral and written skills and ability to work with research group and guide graduate students in their research. Expected duration of the project is 12 to 24 months .

Minimum Qualifications:
PhD in Geotechnical Engineering or Structure Geology or closely related field
Preferred Qualifications:
Ph.D in Geotechnical Engineering or Structure Geology or closely related field with a strong background in Computational Geomechanics
