The Graduate Coordinator pprovides comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Cain Department of Chemical Engineering by managing the graduate student life cycle, ensuring program compliance and curriculum coordination, serving as liaison to the College’s Student Employment and Finance offices for student employment and grant activities, coordinating departmental travel and events, maintaining communication platforms, and producing the department’s annual newsletter.
30% Provides comprehensive administrative support for the graduate program by managing the full student life cycle—from recruitment and admissions through advising, progress tracking, funding coordination, and student support—while serving as the liaison to College HR and Finance to ensure timely and compliant processing of graduate and student employment appointments.
25% Oversees graduate program administration and compliance by serving as the primary liaison with the Graduate School, managing curriculum updates and program assessments, maintaining accurate records and reports, and coordinating key program events.
10% Coordinate all departmental travel arrangements for faculty, staff, students, and guests, including airfare, lodging, transportation, and related logistics.
10% Maintain and update the department's website and social media platforms to ensure accurate, timely communication.
10% Assemble, draft, edit, and distribute the department’s annual newsletter, including coordinating and incorporating photographs.
10% Assist with departmental grant accounting in close coordination with the College of Engineering Finance Office.
5% Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience.
