Provides comprehensive administrative and operational support for the undergraduate program and main office by coordinating course logistics, advising support, scholarship processing, and student record management. Oversees clerical operations, supervises student workers, and ensures efficient office communication and workflow. Supports faculty, advisors, and students through accurate data entry, scheduling, and system management while maintaining organized files and databases using university systems and standard office software.
50% Provides comprehensive administrative support for the undergraduate instructional program by assisting faculty with course-related needs, coordinating textbook orders and desk copies, and maintaining accurate course, room, and faculty assignments within the university’s course management system. Supports the Scholarship Committee by identifying eligible students and processing annual scholarship awards in the LSU scholarship system. Coordinates and schedules advising sessions between students and faculty, prepares and organizes student academic records to support biannual advising, and maintains accurate student files and documentation. Assists students with registration and scheduling of independent study, project-based, and traditional coursework.
30% Oversees daily clerical operations by establishing work priorities, maintaining organized files and databases, and ensuring efficient office workflow. Trains and supervises student workers who provide clerical and undergraduate support services within the main office. Serves as Office Coordinator by managing incoming communications and ensuring information is distributed accurately and timely. Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Workday, and data management systems.
10%Assist with departmental purchasing in close coordination with the College of Engineering Finance Office.
10% Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience.
