COMPENSATION: $100,000 - $120,000 base salary USD and eligible for discretionary bonus plan

OUR STORY

MARQUEE DEVELOPMENT is a full-service real estate firm that specializes in mixed-use sports and entertainment districts. We strategically manage every aspect of a sports-adjacent mixed-use development with a best-in-class ability to curate the experience for a team, fans and community. By bringing bring a sports-operational mindset to traditional real estate development, we focus on the critical integration of team operations and real estate to ensure the experience amplifies the brand of the district, while complementing and protecting the team brand to maximize long-term franchise value.

HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE

Marquee Development is looking for a highly motivated and energized candidate to join its development team. This role will focus on large, multifaceted, mixed-use real estate development projects and support a team of investment professionals throughout the development lifecycle, including underwriting, creation and execution of investment committee materials, marketing collateral and process execution.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Create and maintain financial models for potential development projects and/or acquisitions 

  • Analyze data and evaluate investment highlights concerning the acquisition, development potential and feasibility of potential projects

  • Assemble market research on demand fundamentals and maintain competitive set analysis for each property type/submarket

  • Prepare investment packages and coordinate due diligence for new financing and dispositions. In addition, work closely with the Development team on due diligence of new projects

  • Assist in document preparation and transaction structuring. Assist in coordinating transactions with financial equity and debt partners

  • Participate in property budgeting process

  • Prepare recurring investment summaries for ownership and joint venture partners

  • Develop and maintain overall project budget and schedules

  • Prepare analysis to support leasing decisions (e.g. net effective rent calculations)

  • Prepare a variety of analyses, statements and reports for management, equity partners and lenders

  • Other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • 4+ years of institutional commercial real estate or investment banking experience

  • Prior work experience with institutional-grade mixed-use assets is preferred

  • Proficiency in Argus and Excel

  • Candidate should have experience creating and manipulating complex financial models and underwriting commercial real estate properties and projects

  • Must understand financial and accounting concepts and be able to apply concepts to financial models

  • Ability to communicate complex information succinctly and anticipate and resolve issues/problems on a proactive basis

  • Position requires attention to detail as well as strong communication, writing, and computer skills

  • Possess excellent collaborative skills to work in partnership with colleagues and across depts/entities

  • Strong work ethic with the highest degree of honesty, integrity and discretion
