Job Overview
Are you a specialized field technician with expert-level proficiency in installing fixed-site GPS antennae and managing low-loss LMR400 coaxial cable runs?
We are seeking a highly skilled and mobile Stationary GPS Antennae Installer to deploy precision positioning systems for our clients, primarily focusing on fixed infrastructure, such as building rooftops, ground stations, and communication towers. This is a crucial, hands-on role that requires approximately 90% travel nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
Perform expert installation and alignment of GNSS/GPS reference antennae and associated receiver/timing hardware at stationary client sites.
Demonstrate proficiency in the proper handling, routing, termination, and testing of LMR400 and similar low-loss coaxial cables in various outdoor and indoor environments.
Execute professional coaxial cable management, including proper grounding, weatherproofing, conduit installation, and sealing of bulkhead entries to ensure longevity and minimal signal degradation.
Read and accurately interpret detailed installation plans, including structural mounting details, grounding schematics, and RF cable diagrams.
Conduct signal integrity checks, using appropriate RF test equipment (e.g., VNA, S-meter) to confirm cable run loss and antenna performance meet stringent specification tolerances.
Coordinate with site supervisors, construction teams, and network engineers to ensure smooth project execution.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including as-built drawings, test results, and inventory logs.
Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, especially when working at heights or in construction zones.

Proven experience installing and aligning high-precision GPS/GNSS antennae and reference stations (e.g., survey-grade, timing applications).
Strong knowledge of RF theory, grounding techniques, and lightning protection systems for stationary antenna installations.
Proficiency with common hand and power tools, as well as specialized test equipment (multimeters, cable testers).
Ability to read blueprints, architectural drawings, and detailed wiring schematics.
Certification or training in working at heights, fall protection, and relevant safety protocols (OSHA 10/30 is a plus).
Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and the ability to pass background checks required for secure site access.
Preferred Qualifications
