Business Unit: Deluxe Cinema

Deluxe Cinema is responsible for the mastering and distribution of digital content to theaters on behalf of major cinema studio clients.  These responsibilities are inclusive of a variety of content services including digital cinema mastering, 2D and 3D subtitling, format validation, and social media transcoding and fulfillment.  The group also manages both electronic and physical distribution of digital cinema and non-digital cinema assets to theaters.  The group is responsible for a variety delivery support functions such asset tracking, archiving, delivery network management, digital cinema key management and distribution, and a 24/365 exhibitor support call center.   The group’s goal is to advance technology within the theatrical content mastering and delivery space to stay ahead of our clients’ ever-evolving distribution needs.

Role: AI Strategy and Innovation Intern, Cinema

We are looking for a highly motivated and curious team member to join the Cinema team as an AI Strategy and Innovation Intern. In this position you will have a unique opportunity to explore how artificial intelligence can enhance theatrical workflows, content delivery, and operational efficiency across our global Cinema business. You will help teams identify opportunities to leverage AI, develop AI strategies, and implement AI solutions that align with business goals, incorporating various AI techniques like agentic processing, machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision. This role will require you to work with multi-disciplinary teams to support clients in a wide range of data initiatives aiming to generate and present new, useful, and actionable insights. To succeed in this role, you must have the ability to identify the causes of a problem and present various solutions for it in a detailed and comprehensive manner.

Duties:

• Identify areas where AI can provide value, such as automation, predictive analytics, or personalized recommendations
• Analyze internal processes to uncover automation or optimization opportunities using AI
• Identify, test, and evaluate AI models to address specific business use cases
• Build applications to demonstrate proof-of-concept (POC) and viability of the opportunities that are identified
• Provide training on AI tools and techniques to ensure effective usage and ongoing support for the implemented solutions
• Stay abreast of emerging AI trends and technologies

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing/recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business, Media Technology, or a related field
• Ability to identify, analyze, and solve complex business problems using AI techniques
• Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to communicate complex AI concepts in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Desire to investigate and test new tools and technologies as they are released
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with various teams
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
