We are currently looking for a Senior Dealer Operations Manager to join our team in San Antonio, TX.

Job Summary

Supports assigned dealerships in meeting district wholesale and retail sales goals, including commercial. Promotes customer service and sales programs like CPO and rentals. Evaluates operations through visits, identifies improvements, and motivates sales management to act. Shares best practices and recommends adoption. Collaborates with Fixed Operations Manager for alignment. Provides logistical support for market changes as directed by AGM. Coordinates with other districts to maximize national sales. Districts may consist of 8 to 19 Dealerships depending on complexity and geographic factors.

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive wholesale and retail sales by consulting on dealership operations, optimizing inventory mix, and promoting programs and incentives.

  • Conduct regular site visits to assess performance, review financials, and recommend improvements.

  • Monitor marketing effectiveness, suggest strategies, and demonstrate ROI to gain dealer buy-in.

  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and expansion opportunities to maximize sales.

  • Educate staff on incentive programs, commercial vehicles, and compliance requirements.

  • Coordinate with regional teams to enhance customer experience and implement best practices.

  • Advise on HR concerns, training, and performance management.

  • Support events, market representation changes, and ensure compliance with dealer agreements.

Years of Experience:

  • A minimum of 6 years of progressive Marketing and Sales experience, including a minimum of 3 years of analytical experience in various specialties of the automotive industry.

  • Sales Ops: Sales Reporting, Distribution, Carflow, Mix Management

  • Dealer Agreements: DND Market Analytics, Customer Satisfaction/Experience, Facilities/Merchandising

  • Marketing: Pricing, Advertising & Promotions, CMM/ Contests & Incentives

  • Parts & Service: Consumer Affairs, Warranty, Manufacturing

  • Prior work may be a combination within a dealership, region, headquarters, or manufacturing facility and may be at the Analyst or Regional Manager level or similar type of position.

  • At least 2 or more years of experience within a previous dealer contact support role such as WDM, FOM, FSM or DOM role (or equivalent dealer contact) is required for advancement to the senior level.

Education

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required. 

Travel Required?

More than 75% day and overnight domestic travel.

Position requires residence within assigned district.
