Safely operate honing machinery to produce parts that meet Graco quality requirements at the lowest cost in a timely manner.

​Essential Duties

• Operate and adjust honing equipment. Includes hand honing, ball lapping, vertical and horizontal honing, as well as power stroke hone and flat lapper
• Responsible for conformance of parts produced to blueprint specifications, including in-process inspection
• Responsible for reading and understanding operation layouts, job packets and complicated blueprint drawings (this includes geometric tolerancing)
• Provides accurate inventory counts and ensures accurate use of labor reporting system
• Participate in QAT and problem-solving to continually improve
• Maintains a clean and safe work station and immediately reports accidents or unsafe conditions to supervisor
• Works as a team member to aid all shifts towards achieving efficiency and customer service levels.
• Responsible for maintaining supplies required to efficiently operate the hones and other equipment assigned
• Perform other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Basic skills requirements listed below must be completed within 6 months of employment
• Basic Math
• Basic Blueprint
• Measurement Skills for manufacturing
• Ability to inspect own work to conformance of specifications with limited technical assistance
• Understanding of safety rules and regulations to prevent unsafe set-ups, operations, or acts which might cause injury to self, others, or environment
• Mechanical aptitude
• Attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills

The base pay range for this position is listed below, exclusive of fringe benefits or other compensation.  If you are hired, your final base hourly rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, competencies, education, and/or experience.  In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees.  Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role.  Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
