What We Offer

The City and County of Denver offers competitive pay commensurate with education and experience.  Although the full pay range is posted, the target hiring range is $65,000-$80,000. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

Location & Schedule

The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. In this position you can expect to work at the Wellington Webb Building (201 W. Colfax) and occasionally at the Wastewater Building (2000 West 3rd Ave). This team currently works 3 days in office. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.

The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI) seeks a Compliance expert to provide technical support and exceptional customer service related to contracting policies and procedures. This role includes mentoring and leading a team, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring contractual and financial compliance.

Specifically, as a Contract Compliance Business Administrator you will:

  • Supervise a team of three, including assigning caseloads, providing training and responding to team inquiries.

  • Conduct quality assurance audits of team tasks to ensure productivity is consistent, timely, and delivered at the highest level of service by following all processes, policies, and procedures

  • Approve workflows within Workday and JAGGAER systems

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on contract inquiries, processes, and updates.

  • Issue escalation and resolutions

  • Ensure timely processing of invoices, requisitions, change orders, and related requests.

  • Collaborate with DOTI divisions to support project submittals; generate and analyze reports as needed.

  • Maintain and update internal website content to ensure accuracy and accessibility.

What You’ll Bring

Our ideal candidate has some or all the following experience, skills, and characteristics:

  • Workday & JAGGAER Expertise Proficient in navigating and managing approval workflows within Workday and JAGGAER systems.

  • Strategic Sourcing Experience Demonstrated ability to identify, evaluate, and engage suppliers

  • Strong Time Management Skilled in prioritizing tasks in a dynamic environment; adept at using Outlook Calendar to manage shifting responsibilities.

  • Organization Ability to create well-structured and accessible files and documentation to support efficient operations.

  • Critical Thinking & Problem Solving Effectively analyzes and resolves issues using internal tools and resources.

  • Exceptional Customer Service Provides professional and responsive support to both internal and external stakeholders; communicates clearly with direct reports and follows through on commitments.

  • Proactive & Forward-Thinking Anticipates team needs, conducts staff training, and identifies potential challenges before they arise.

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Education requirement: Bachelors Degree

  • Experience Requirement: Three (3) years of experience administering business operations or operational programs and/or assisting professional/management staff with administrative or operational functions.

  • Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post high school education. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.

  • License/Certifications: None
