Summary

Porter Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Hospitalist team as a Nocturnist. This is a 1.0 FTE exempt position that will be scheduled for ten 12-hr nights per 28-day period.

Our Nocturnists work independently with a Physician Hospitalist on call.  Porter admits adult patients and has in-house support from various specialists, including OB, Orthopedics, General Surgery, ENT, and more.  Radiology services are available 24/7, including CT and ultrasound, with weekday MRI services.  Our location is 35 miles from UVM Medical Center, with efficient EMS protocols for patient transfers.

Experience

• 2 years Hospitalist experience required; or 3+ years Family Practice or Emergency Medicine experience.

• New graduates are not able to be considered for this position.

Education, Licensure, and Certifications

• NP/PA graduated from accredited program; master’s level or higher

• Active (or pending) Vermont State APRN or PA license in good standing​

• Current BLS and ACLS certification

Salary Range: $169,125 - $216,486 / year
