Required Education and/or Experience
Formal education equivalent to a high school diploma.
Preferred Education and/or Experience
Associate’s degree or higher.
Experience with Banner, Workday, and/or Degree Works.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Support Essential Functions of Psychological Sciences
In collaboration with the Chair, provide administrative support for the Department.
Respond to inquiries from students, staff, faculty, and the public.
Assist the chair with various administrative tasks.
Finance and Budget:
Assist the chair with the department budget and purchase requisitions, and monitor expenditures.
Manage department lease and purchase contracts, including office equipment and office supplies.
Make travel arrangements for visitors and file for travel reimbursement.
Manage payroll-related documents, purchase orders, and other procedural forms required by other entities on campus and with the department.
Communications:
Assist in preparing reports, newsletters, outreach materials, and other documents.
Maintain proficiency in university computer programs and software applications.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Human Resources:
Supervise work-study students.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Be able to adjust to change and be flexible.

Have knowledge of computers and software applications.
Demonstrate a working knowledge of basic mathematics.

Be able to plan, organize, and direct the work of others.
Be able to work with Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Excel, Banner, and Workday.
Be able to work simultaneously on multiple projects and demonstrate organizational and prioritization abilities in accomplishing tasks.
