What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The budgeted salary range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

Location
The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.

Denver Human Services (DHS) is seeking an innovative and detail-orientated individual to serve as a Manager of Continuous Improvement and Data. The Manager will oversee the Data and Research Team (DART), and the Continuous Improvement Team (CIT). This role also requires a strong blend of leadership, analytical, investigative, and compliance expertise.

Specifically, as the Manager of Continuous Improvement and Data you will:

  • Manage DART, CIT, and Department wide Initiatives
  • Strategically align the three unit’s efforts to support the Departments strategic plan and other major efforts
  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for the department’s data, research, evaluation, and project implementation functions
  • Create a project/improvement/data onboarding and prioritization process and consult with/make recommendations to EMT on how to proceed
  • Provide operational support and direction to the team to ensure a consistent and high-quality support system to DHS divisions in pursuit of agency goals as well as implementation of agencywide initiatives
  • Align data evaluation and CIT initiatives with the department’s broader mission and objectives
  • Continually improve the quantitative and qualitative methods utilized by the teams to support needs of Denver human services
  • Ensure EMT/SLT are provided with the outcomes-based data and analysis to assess programs and make operational decisions
  • Drive the Agency's efforts surrounding the continual implementation and improvement of the Department's Strategic Plan goals 
  • Ensure the development and maintenance of summary dashboards for real-time monitoring of performance metrics and monthly executive level reporting
  • Lead and facilitate the department wide data and performance discussions

  • Skilled presenter and facilitator, capable of engaging diverse stakeholders including staff, community members, and partner organizations
  • Exceptional communicator, able to convey complex ideas clearly and with empathy across varied audiences
  • Forward-thinking mindset with a clear vision for the future of the team and its impact

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Education requirement: Bachelor's Degree in a related field based on a specific position
  • Experience Requirement: Three (3) years of experience at the type and level of functional or operational management, which must have included management of professional individual contributors
  • Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post high school education. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements
