High School diploma/GED plus two (2) years of experience performing tests in a research laboratory.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Basic knowledge of standard laboratory equipment and procedures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related field.
Experience operating and maintaining High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) systems.
Ability to move and clean laboratory equipment as needed.
Familiarity with general biochemical and analytical laboratory practices.
Additional Information:
Responsibilities:
Perform and assist with laboratory experiments, including in vitro metabolic reactions and chromatographic analyses (e.g., HPLC).
Process, analyze, and record experimental data; assist in data reporting and publication efforts.
Conduct literature reviews to support ongoing research.
Maintain laboratory equipment, inventories, and order supplies as needed.
Train new staff or students in laboratory procedures and ensure adherence to all University, State, and Federal safety regulations.
Supervise a small team of student researchers to support project goals.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator.
