What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is $62,186 - $80,000 per year. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

Location
The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. During in-office days you can expect to work out of the Denver Human Services Castro office with flexibility to work out of other locations as needed. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.

FAAD Application/EE Cells Supervisor
As an Operations Supervisor in Application/EE Cells, you will lead a diverse team of Document Management Technicians as they prepare documents for Eligibility Technicians who provide critical resources and services to Denver County residents in need of public assistance. The team you will supervise is responsible for researching case detail and history and determining accurate action required to work the following documents, applications, redeterminations, changes and verifications. While following Federal and State regulations regarding timeliness and quality for all public assistance documents.  You will work directly with your staff to ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service while also providing the timely and accurate completion of documents. The Operations Supervisor will encourage the growth and development of their staff and work collaboratively with partners within the division to meet the demands of a high-volume workload.

We are looking for a seasoned professional within the Human Services field with vision and strong skillsets in managing a diverse workforce, program planning and implementation, and prioritizing attention to urgent deadlines while meeting training goals related to performance management.

Overall, the Human Services Operations Supervisor:

  • Supervises and evaluates the work of employees who research and prepare documents for eligibility
  • Encourages and guides team to meet and exceed goals
  • Participates in discussions about process and procedures related to all aspects of Application/EE Cells operations
  • Performs quality review of Document Management Technician’s work to ensure accuracy and compliance with state and federal guidelines related to public assistance programs as mandated by the federal government and ensures that federal reporting deadlines are met to avoid federal funding and fiscal sanctions
  • Prepares and/or directs the preparation of records and reports and ensures that staff members enter and update information into the state and county computer systems
  • Reviews, develops, or modifies work plans, methods, and procedures, determines work priorities, and develops work schedules to provide adequate staff coverage. Provides work instruction and assists employees with difficult and/or unusual assignments and encourages innovation
  • Assigns and distributes work, reviews work for accuracy and completeness, and returns assignments with recommendations for proper completion
  • Other related duties as assigned such as but not limited to:  Working closely with our PIAD partners; DHS IT; and other FAAD supervisors.

Our ideal candidate has some or all the following experience, skills, and characteristics: 

  • Experience using the Colorado Benefits Management System (CBMS)
  • Human services leadership experience
  • Database systems experience and/or reporting development and analysis
  • 2-4 years of professional level experience and knowledge working with public assistance programs including TANF and adult financial services
  • 2-4 years of professional level experience and knowledge working with the Colorado Benefits Management System (CBMS)
  • Have experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge and understanding of imaging software and processes
  • Be willing to go extra miles for our clients

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Education requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate
  • Experience Requirement: Five (5) years of experience performing technical, paraprofessional, and/ or administrative work (this does not include office support work)
  • Education/Experience Equivalency: Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirement
