Location
In this position, you can expect to work in-office 5 days a week. This position will be based out of the Denver Human Services Castro office and will also be expected to work out of four additional locations as needed.

The Facilities, Safety and Security Division (FSS) of Denver Human Services is seeking a highly qualified individual to serve as the Utility Worker II for the Facilities Operation Management Team.
The Utility Worker II:
Reviews and coordinates the maintenance and repair of agency equipment and/or facilities.
Meets with City personnel, vendors, contractors, and/or utilities as needed to assist in coordinating maintenance,
repair, and/or alteration projects.
Processes work orders for building and equipment maintenance, repair, and/or new construction.
Coordinates deliveries of supplies, equipment, and furniture.
Orders supplies, materials, parts and monitor’s inventory.
Implements safety and other work-related standards and develops procedures to ensure compliance.
By position, participates as a team member that analyzes equipment needs, collects information, and recommends. the purchase of new equipment.
Install, reconfigure, and move office furniture including modular furniture.
Scheduling of vehicle and equipment preventive maintenance program.
Knowledgeable in basic maintenance and construction practices.
By position, inspects facilities and equipment for conformance to agency security and safety regulations.
Reviews and coordinates the maintenance and repair of agency equipment and/or facilities.
Meets with City personnel, vendors, contractors, and/or utilities as needed to assist in coordinating maintenance, repair, and/or alteration projects.
Processes work orders for building and equipment maintenance, repair, and/or new construction.
Reviews work upon completion for adherence to guidelines and standards.
Orders supplies, materials, and parts and monitor’s inventory.
Implements safety and other work-related standards and develops procedures to ensure compliance.
Plans, schedules, coordinates, and assigns work for assigned employees.
Employees may be re-deployed to work in other capacities in their own agencies or in other City agencies to support core functions of the City during a City-wide emergency declared by the Mayor.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Additionally, the Utility Worker II will assist with:
Event setup
Pickup and delivery of materials and supplies
Furniture assembly and moving
Painting, patching walls, and light carpentry
Whiteboard installation
Entering and scheduling work orders
Unclogging toilets and basic plumbing assistance
Emergency response support
Small equipment operation
Traffic control and barricade placement
Safe use of hand tools and power tools
Assist with snow removal (dispersing snow melt, shoveling, ice removal)

Our ideal candidate has some or all the following experience, skills, and characteristics:
At least 2 years of Customer Service Experience
Excellent communication skills
Experience with MS Office Suite
Well organized and detail oriented
A self-starter
Experience with installation of Systems Furniture
Able to multi-task
Experience with Salesforce/Hexagon or other work order systems.
