The Unit Secretary is responsible for the secretarial aspects of the nursing unit. She/he acts as a support person to the nursing staff and other members of the health care team for indirect aspects of patient care. This position functions as a pivotal communication link between the health care team, other departments and patients and families.

The hours and scheduling for this role require flexibility and rotates every week. The schedule for this position is as follows;

Week 1:

Weds and Thurs, day shift, 6 am - 230 pm (16 hours a week)

Week 2:

Fri, Sat, Sun, evening shift, 230 pm -11 pm (24 hours a week)

This is a part time role. It is a total of 40 hours per pay period (biweekly).
