JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our dynamic multidisciplinary team of talented and dedicated therapists provides hands-on, one to one, evidence-based clinical care. Responsibilities for the staff physical therapist include management of patients with a variety of diagnoses including; general and post op orthopedics, BPPV, balance impairments or history of falls, and patients with Long COVID symptoms.  PT is part of a multidisciplinary team that provides coordinated visits through our falls program.

  • Evaluates patients and develops treatment plans appropriate for patient functional limitations.
  • Skillfully applies therapeutic techniques to address patient treatment needs.
  • Develops trusted relationships with referring providers, contributing to marketing and community outreach efforts.
  • Helps ensure well-run clinical operations by completing necessary documentation and billing in a quality manner.
  • Manages caseload effectively
  • Demonstrates the flexibility to accommodate and facilitate proficient patient care, including a willingness to provide care at more than one rehab therapy site as needed.
  • Stays current with trends and practices in therapeutic evaluation and treatment, supporting evidence-based practice.
  • Participates in clinical staff education, meetings and quality improvement programs for patient care and staff development projects.
  • Demonstrates excellent time management, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Supervises physical therapy students to develop their clinical skills and ensure the delivery of quality patient care.
  • Complies with all pertinent rules and regulations within the State Practice Act and the American Physical Therapy Association’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.
  • Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's of Science (or higher) degree from an Accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Licensed or eligible to be licensed to practice occupational therapy in the State of Vermont.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years of experience ideal – work with patient's orthopedic conditions. 
  • New graduates with orthopedic experience will also be considered.
