Position Summary

The University of Vermont Medical Center is seeking a skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner with at least 2 years of clinical experience (primary care and Epic experience preferred) to join our Primary Care Adult Medicine team in Essex, Vermont.

This is a 1.0 FTE exempt position with primary shift coverage of M-F with no evening or on-call requirements. The weekend requirement is 1 Saturday per quarter for a total of 4 per year.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to patients in various states of health or illness in collaboration with one or more physicians

• Address acute medical needs

• Manage timely responses to patient messages and medication requests

• Collaborate with the Practice Supervisor, APP Lead, and Site Medical Director

Education & Licensure Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

• Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

• Current National Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner

• Active Vermont APRN license and eligibility for prescriptive authority

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of clinical NP experience preferred

• Primary care and Epic EMR experience highly desirable
