The City and County of Denver offer competitive pay commensurate with education and experience. New hires are typically brought into the organization between $25.30 and $31.00 We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. In this position you can expect to work at least 3 days in office at the Wellington Webb Building (201 W Colfax). The schedule for this position is typically Monday-Friday, with the option of a flex schedule. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.

The Accounting Division of DOTI is seeking full-time Staff Assistant! We are looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented individual who excels at internal and external communications along with managing and organizing new processes related to Accounting and Administrative functions.
Specifically, as a Staff Assistant you will:
Manage calendars, schedule and organize meetings and events.
Work with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate procurement & payment processes with issued p-card & other payment types along with related reconciliations.
Process manual billing, revenue payments, daily email and related reconciliation according to required FAR and other compliance.
Assist with integrating processes and procedures between different accounting teams.
Conduct research in our different accounting systems and facilitate resolution to common inquiries.
Serve as the Asset Custodian for the Accounting division.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Our ideal candidate has some or all the following experience, skills, and characteristics:
Attention to detail and accuracy
Strong Customer Service and follow through skills
Ability to be flexible and pivot when project assignments require
Great Communication Skills – written and verbal
Well Organized, experience with time and priority management skills
Experience with processing financial transactions in Workday and financial systems
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Education requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate.
Experience Requirement: Four (4) years of experience performing specialized and/or technical office support work of the type and at the level of Administrative Support Assistant IV.
Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of education may be substituted for each required year experience.
