Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a Student Worker for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI). This position will provide direct administrative support to the Executive Director and assist with the coordination of events, communications, and internal operations. OLLI is located at 604 W. Moana Lane, Reno, and the student worker will be required to work on-site at this location.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the post-production workflow for OLLI program recordings, including reviewing raw footage, performing edits for clarity, pacing, and flow, enhancing audio and visual quality, and exporting finalized media in the appropriate formats.

  • Ensure all recordings meet ADA accessibility standards by generating accurate transcripts, adding captions when needed, and preparing files for accessible distribution.

  • Assist with scheduling, correspondence, and document preparation for the Executive Director

  • Help coordinate logistics for meetings, events, and programs

  • Provide member support and general front-office assistance as needed

  • Create, proofread, and format internal documents, flyers, and materials

  • Input and manage data related to membership, programs, and operations

  • Track and organize project tasks and follow-ups

Required Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled at the University of Nevada, Reno

  • Must maintain a 2.0 GPA and be enrolled in at least 15 credits

  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Candidate has excellent customer service skills and takes initiative regularly

  • Candidate is given general instruction and will be expected to prioritize work and make decisions regarding work assignments

  • Candidate can perform duties without detailed supervision

Schedule

20 hours per week during semester; up to 40 hours per week during breaks
