General Summary:

Primarily responsibility is providing on-site desktop support to customer sites, including troubleshooting (diagnosing and discussing to resolution) PC/network problems, as well as installing hardware/ software as needed.   Also provides additional phone support when needed.  Cabling phone and data installations for clients on site. Ability to install surveillance camera systems.

Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:*

  • Provide on-site and phone support for all customer sites.

  • Installs PCs, LANs, cabling and software.

  • Cabling Skills and ability to install phone and data drops

  • Experience installing surveillance camera systems

  • Imaging workstations and laptops with Windows software.

  • Proficiency with all hardware and software used by all of our customers.

  • Ability to work with Windows Server systems.

  • Ability to work with Web Filter such as 8e6 and Barracuda

  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office, TCP/IP, and Windows Active Directory environment

  • Ability to troubleshoot Network issues (switch/router).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Working knowledge of computer software and hardware.

  • Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure, while maintaining courtesy and professionalism.

  • Ability to prioritize and work independently in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.

  • Ability and willingness to learn new or updated software and hardware.

  • Ability to exercise reasonable judgment without direct supervision.

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. on a frequent basis.

  • Ability to travel as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferred:

  • Ability to work with Wireless Access Points, Routers and Switches

  • Windows Server Group Policy Management

  • Windows SQL Server Experience

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or its equivalent and/or minimum 1 year related experience. 

  • BS in Computer Science or related field preferred.

  • Previous help desk and/or educational industry experience preferred.
