Job Description:

Join Altera as Package Designer-Contract! The Package Designer is responsible for

  • Executing point-to-point connection (final design) Perform DRC checks, unconnected pins and dangling trace/vias and fix the design accordingly.

  • Performing design self-check based on the design review checklist provided and fix the design accordingly.

  • Performing design cleanup

  • Full package design including all/partial interfaces assignment as well as power assignment according to schematic that provided. Might include the component placement and constraint setting as well as other package design related request.

Salary Range 

 

The pay range below is for Bay Area California only. Actual salary may vary based on a number of factors including job location, job-related knowledge, skills, experiences, trainings, etc. We also offer incentive opportunities that reward employees based on individual and company performance.  

$113.7K - $164.7K USD

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other related field

  • Possess Mentor Graphics, Cadence, PLA knowledge​

  • Multiple layers package design (8+) experience ​

  • Understanding of substrate manufacturing design rule and assembly rule​

  • Understanding of SIPI design rule

  • Possess Flip Chip Package Design Concept​ (2D, 2.5D, 3D knowledge is advantage)

  • Good communication skill.​

  • Require vendor on-site support
