Job Description:

Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, Americas –This position will be responsible for all aspects of directing upgrade orders. The primary objective of the sales director is to lead, coach and develop our sales team, enabling sustainable and profitable growth. The role also includes internal communication with engineering and operations teams, as well as maintaining consistent and professional communication with the customer.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead direct reports through one-on-one coaching, developing consultative selling skills
  • Work closely with cross functional leaders in the organization to ensure we achieve profitable and sustainable growth, all while providing exceptional customer experiences.
  • Drive accountability and apply performance management system to ensure team is meeting and exceeding expectations.
  • Utilize CRM data to maintain accurate forecasts, help with funnel velocity and to develop metrics allowing us to determine the success of our current sales strategies.
  • Establish consistent communication with operational leadership
  • Work to transition sold work into the business
  • Coordinate updates/information from the business to Sales executives
  • Review customer bid specifications to ensure expectations will be met by our offering
  • Maintain standards library for standard upgrade descriptions and pricing
  • Work with OEM Partners including communicating customer objectives and obtaining accurate proposals to be incorporated into our offer.
  • Actively lead, facilitate, and participate in sales meetings, virtual and on-site customer meetings, product seminars, trade shows and similar events and activities as required.
  • Travel with team to support scheduled customer meetings, tradeshows, training workshops, and corporate meetings. 
  • All other duties as assigned

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree + a minimum of 10 years related leadership experience
  • Proficient in use of CRM systems, leveraging data/insights to identify opportunities and aid in decision-making.
  • A professional demeanor that encompasses Barry Wehmiller’s core values and guiding principles
  • Experience in capital equipment and/or packaging sales
