Job Description:

What You’ll Do 

  • Lead and oversee large, complex construction projects from concept through closeout, serving as the primary point of accountability for scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality 

  • Manage and mentor project managers, project engineers, and field teams, providing technical guidance and leadership 

  • Partner with clients and senior stakeholders to align project execution with business objectives and operational requirements 

  • Direct project planning, scheduling, cost control, risk management, and resource management activities 

  • Provide executive-level reporting, forecasts, and project status updates to clients and internal leadership 

  • Lead contract strategy, negotiation, and administration for prime contracts and subcontract agreements 

  • Oversee the contractor bidding process including bid strategy, bid evaluations, recommendations, and award decisions 

  • Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, quality, and contractual requirements across multiple jobsites 

  • Proactively identify and manage project risks, change orders, claims, and dispute resolution 

  • Support business development efforts, including proposal development, estimating, and client presentations 

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of construction standards, processes, and best practices 

What You’ll Bring 

  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in construction or project management roles, with at least 10 years managing complex industrial or manufacturing projects 

  • Proven experience leading multi-million-dollar construction projects, typically ranging from $10M to $100M+ 

  • Demonstrated success in a senior leadership role within an A&E, design-build, or EPC environment (preferred) 

  • Extensive experience in food, beverage, life sciences, pharmaceutical, consumer products, or related industrial sectors 

  • Strong knowledge of construction contracting methods, project delivery strategies, and risk mitigation 

  • Executive-level communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills 

  • Advanced proficiency with project controls, scheduling, estimating, and construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, P6, AutoCAD/Revit preferred) 

  • Strong understanding of process systems and the ability to interpret P&IDs and technical drawings 

  • Experience mentoring and developing project management professionals 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related discipline required; advanced degree preferred 

  • OSHA 30-hour certification required; PMP, CCM, or equivalent certification strongly preferred 

  • Willingness to travel and support projects as required
