Space Domain Awareness Leader, Senior Manager

Key Role:

Serve as a Senior Leader guiding the strategy, execution, and growth of mission software, analytics, and enterprise architectures critical to national security. Oversee the design, implementation, and delivery of advanced mission applications, and orchestrate cross-functional teams of developers, engineers, and mission specialists. Drive technical modernization across the Space Domain Awareness (SDA) ecosystem, leveraging a deep understanding of space systems, satellite technologies, ground segment operations, and data processing, as well as a strong background in large-scale software system development and integration. Lead a large software development organization delivering mission-critical capabilities across complex multi-program environments. Develop and implement the technical delivery schedule for mission software, enterprise services, and data systems, ensuring alignment with mission and customer objectives. Serve as a senior interface between program leadership, government stakeholders, and engineering teams, while mentoring and growing a high-performing development workforce. Lead business development efforts, support strategic internal investments and R&D initiatives, and drive end-to-end development execution from requirements decomposition to operational deployment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience with software or solutions engineering for the DoD or IC

  • 8+ years of experience managing or directing large teams across software development, system engineering, and mission operations

  • Experience supporting Space Domain Awareness (SDA), Non-Earth Imaging (NEI), ISR, or space-ground mission systems

  • Experience with requirements engineering, enterprise-scale architectures, and system or software integration across classified environments

  • Experience with modern software development environments, Agile practices, and mission software operations

  • Ability to lead teams, manage complex interfaces, and resolve challenges in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to communicate complex topics clearly to senior leaders through briefings, roadmaps, and technical documentation

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering, Physics, or Technology field

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with DevSecOps pipelines, containerization, and cloud-native mission architectures

  • Experience overseeing or architecting SAP or CAP systems or large-scale data processing environments

  • Experience with the TCPED processes, orbital mechanics, sensor modeling, or SDA analytics

  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)

  • Experience with Digital Engineering and Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) 

  • Master's degree

  • AWS Certification

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $142,900.00 to $266,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
