Education:
Required: High School Diploma or GED

Licensure/Certification:
Required: Current Riverside County Food Handler’s Card or Current Serve Safe

Experience:

Required: Two (2) years of restaurant or food service experience
Preferred: Supervisory experience

Reports To: Department Director and Managers Supervises: N/A Ages of Patients: Adult, Geriatric Blood Borne Pathogens: Minimal/ No Potential

Must be able to perform service recovery, Must be able to prepare schedules and daily assignments, Must be able to supervise nutritional services employees, Written and verbal communication skills

Essential Responsibilities

1. Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations. 2. Answers phones within three rings using dept scripting 3. Ensures all positions are covered and employees on task 4. Maintains workable knowledge of all department schedules and routes 5. Prepares project assignments, schedules, safety tips and daily assignments 6. Completes daily patient meal rounds. 7. Ensures proper food handling procedures are being followed 8. Ensures sanitation standards are being met 9. Completes QI /PI documentation 10. Verifies cash drawers and safe daily 11. Ensures retail areas are clean, stocked and ready for customers 12. Ensures all food in all service areas are within department standards. 13. Coaches employees. 14. Completes in-services for employees on annual requirements 15. Performs all other duties assigned.
