Provides leadership and administrative oversight of ambulatory service clinics or service line for Eisenhower Health in collaboration with the Vice President of the Ambulatory Division, working with the Medical Vice President(s), Medical Directors, providers and staff. Leads the development and implementation of strategic initiatives for ambulatory services guiding cross-functional teams to advance ambulatory division and health system endeavors. Oversees effectiveness of clinical operations and patient outcomes, financial performance, patient access, care coordination, patient experience, human resource and compliance matters, and other administrative functions. Partners with other leaders and executive team on Eisenhower Health mission, long-term strategic planning, addressing community needs, and market footprint expansion, to meet patient care service goals.Job Description:
Education: Required: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare, Business or related field; Master’s degree or doctorate in Nursing, Healthcare, Business or related field if hired after January 1, 2020 Licensure/Certification: Preferred: California Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license; NEA-BC, FACHE, CMPE, CHFP certification credential Experience: Required: Five (5) years of progressive management experience within healthcare; three (3) years relevant director level experience Preferred: Diverse healthcare experience in ambulatory and inpatient settings; healthcare planning and project management experienceReports To: V.P. 1. Monitors and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery through clinic operations delivery methods and procedures, assesses and monitors workload, administrative and support systems and internal reporting relationships; identifies and supports opportunities for improvement and directs the implementation of changes for leadership in the clinic areas of responsibility. 2. Establishes strong relationships with physicians practicing at the site, and manages operations in collaboration with the site Medical Director. 3. Manages effective communication with physicians, patients, and staff to ensure service quality, satisfaction, and personal relationship development. 4. Drives high standards for individual, team, and organizational accomplishment; tenaciously works to meet or exceed challenging goals; derives satisfaction from goal achievement and continuous improvement for clinical, operational and financial metrics. 5. Develops site goals and objectives. Establishes, implements, and maintains policies and procedures for the site. 6. Engages, empowers, and partners with staff, leaders, and providers to support their job satisfaction, quality, safety, innovation with a focus on the overall experience of the delivery of care. 7. Develops and manages the annual budget in conjunction with senior leadership, engaging in the budgeting process for the ambulatory division demonstrating a keen understanding of basic business operations and the organizational levers that drive profitable growth; draws from personal experience to quickly evaluate business plans and processes to identify data or recommendations that need further investigation. 8. Initiates and maintains strategic relationships with stakeholders inside and outside the health system to advance clinical, operational, and strategic goals. 9. Driving execution, translates strategic priorities into operational reality; aligns communication, accountabilities, resource capabilities, internal processes, and ongoing quality measurement systems to ensure that strategic priorities yield measurable and sustainable results. 10. Manages the programs and service in the site with the goal of attaining and maintaining high patient satisfaction scores. 11. Resolves any patient/client issues or patient experience complaints in the site when unable to be solved at the front line. 12. Cultivates clinical and business partnerships initiating and maintains strategic relationships with stakeholders inside and outside the health system to advance clinical, operational, and strategic goals. 13. Serves as the division area administrative leader, collaborating with the Vice President of the Ambulatory Division, Chief Quality Officer, Chief Medical Officer and Chief Nursing Officer, when engaging in regulatory or governing organization site surveys. 14. Performs other duties as assigned.
