Sr. HR Partner

The Sr. HR Partner will be accountable for deeply understanding business priorities and proactively implementing people strategies to achieve them. In close partnership with People Operations and Centers of Expertise (COEs), this role will collaborate with leadership (Directors and above) to provide strategic influence and vision for their assigned business unit(s), fostering a safe and inclusive environment for our team members. Leveraging evidence-based insights and our Employee Value Proposition, this position will focus on retention, development, and engagement of team members while driving business results. The ideal candidate excels at balancing competing priorities, problem-solving, and working effectively with diverse stakeholders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide input and execute HR strategies aligned with the organization’s vision over a 1-2 year horizon.
  • Develop and implement plans and programs to optimize HR utilization and impact.
  • Influence team member behavior to promote key safety and HR principles.
  • Identify and address risk patterns related to EEO and Affirmative Action compliance using available resources.
  • Champion Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity (EID) initiatives.
  • Build team member networks to foster feedback and corrective actions in adverse business conditions.
  • Identify behavioral patterns that may lead to team member dissatisfaction and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Provide coaching and support to leadership (Director through SVP levels) to enhance decision-making and drive performance.
  • Partner with COEs and People Operations to design and deliver onboarding and orientation experiences for new team members.
  • Collaborate with leaders on workforce shaping strategies focused on long-term organizational needs, partnering with COEs and People Operations for planning and execution.
  • Manage grievances and work closely with Labor Relations COE to identify and communicate potential contract or CBA violations.
  • Lead talent evaluation and development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Workforce Analytics to ensure people strategies are data-driven and insight-led.
  • Monitor program and policy effectiveness against ROI targets, adjusting as needed to meet evolving team member and business needs.
  • Work with HR COEs to design and implement innovative programs that prepare the workforce for future challenges while addressing current business requirements.
  • Support EVP and talent enablement process improvements by consolidating and prioritizing opportunities and contributing to solution development.
  • Drive process excellence and worker engagement by analyzing industry trends, insights, and emerging technologies.
  • Foster innovation and collaborate across HR functions to sustain and enhance organizational capability.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of relevant HR experience preferred, ideally with a focus on strategic HR partnership and business alignment.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient with standard computer applications and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills are required. Ability to adapt communication style effectively for all organizational levels.
  • Special Skills: Strong knowledge of HR strategy execution with the ability to implement at multiple organizational levels; proven ability to drive process, technology, and people improvements through workforce shaping; excellent analytical skills to enhance efficiencies; and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Supervisory Responsibility: None.
  • Travel: Up to 25% travel required.
