Job Details:

This position is responsible for monitoring products and ensuring products have passed all critical control points while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tyson Foods Hope Hatchery currently has a split-duty position available at our Hatchery facility.  These duties include but are not limited to the following.

Purpose & Objectives: 

To perform QA responsibilities and Sanitation responsibilities.

Qualifications, Duties, and Responsibilities:      

  • Must be willing to maintain standard job performance to continue effectively and efficiently with a consistent flow of product.

  • Must be willing to stand and work in a stationary position throughout an 8–9-hour shift.

  • Assure quality performance standards

  • Willing to assist and perform candling and breakouts on every individual flock that is set

  • Willing to perform chick counts to ensure numbers are correct

  • Willing to perform quality checks on incoming eggs

  • Willing to perform crossbar monitoring checks

  • Willing to perform machine checks to ensure efficient operation

  • Willing to perform pre-hatch counts

  • Use simple computer programs to record data collected

  • Willing to aid and assist leads and learn all duties of the hatchery including the lead position

  • Must be willing to perform all duties as assigned by management

  • Must be willing to lift to 100 lbs.

  • Hours 6:00 am till all daily tasks are completed and all chicks are processed

Compensation: $18.20/hr.

Hours: 1st Shift

  • Accepting Rehires: Yes
  • 3 x Rule: If you have worked for Tyson Foods 3 or more times you are ineligible for rehire.
  • Rehire waiting period: 6 months or 180 days.
