Charter Steel is hiring a Production / Operations Management Intern for our Saukville Rolling Plant!

Position Details:

  • Location: Saukville WI
  • Fully Onsite
  • Start Date: May 2026

What you'll need:

  • Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field with current status of at least a Sophomore level.

  • Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills 

  • Planning and organizational skills 

  • Ability to succeed in a team environment 

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks 

Preferred experience:

  • Skills in prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines 

  • Capacity to think critically and find solutions where necessary 

  • Proactive approach to responsibilities and willingness to contribute 

 

What you'll focus on:

  • Shadow supervisors to learn daily production operations and support continuous improvement (CI) initiatives.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks using Oracle, including parts tracking and cycle counts.
  • Support process improvement efforts by identifying inefficiencies and helping implement solutions.
  • Contribute to training and documentation through Dozuki, helping maintain and improve standard work instructions.
