The candidate will be assigned a specific region within the US and must be willing to travel up to 60% of the time (including after hours and on weekends, as necessary).

This HSE Specialist position will be responsible for DNOW operations in the Northern Rockies and based out of a DNOW Super Center (Williston, ND). Responsibilities for operations located in ND and MT.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Inspect workplace environments, activities, and conditions to verify health, safety, and environmental compliance with Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, and requirements (i.e., OSHA, DOT, EPA, company-specific, etc.)
  • Conduct audits identifying workplace hazards or unsafe working conditions
  • Conduct incident investigations, online incident reporting, and root cause analyses
  • Develop relationships with branch employees and collaborate with branch management/employees on necessary corrective actions
  • Participate in the development and implementation of Job Safety Analysis/Risk Assessments, as required
  • Conduct HSE-related training and ensure employees meet all training and competency requirements for specific job functions
  • Complete required detailed recordkeeping and other HSE-related documentation (i.e., inspection checklists, audit corrective actions, etc.)
  • Maintain accurate monthly metrics to report to onsite management teams and corporate reporting systems
  • Communicate corporate initiatives and directives to branch locations
  • Initiate projects to drive continuous improvement of HSE programs and practices
  • Collaborate closely with HSE counterparts within the organization

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health, Safety and Environmental-related field, or 5-7 years of proven successful employment in the service field
  • 2+ years job experience in the Safety and Environmental field preferred
  • Must have advanced working knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental regulations (Federal, State and Local levels)
  • Self-motivator with strong organizational and communication skills
  • Team player with a strong commitment to the HSE profession
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail and excellent project management skills
  • Ability to conduct presentations and facilitate training
  • Maintain and build relationships with field and customer operations
  • Computer proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Available to travel up to 60% of time
