JOB DESCRIPTION 

The Assistant Professor will be appointed as a member of the full-time faculty of the Department of Urology reporting directly to the Chairman with the following specific responsibilities: 

Function as an attending physician at University of Miami Hospital and Clinics (UMHC), Jackson Memorial Hospital (JMH), and Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC) including responsibility for coverage of inpatient and outpatient cases as well as operating room supervision of residents and outpatient clinics in the Ambulatory Care Centers. 

Perform clinical activities through the University of Miami Medical Group (UMMG) clinical practice plan as well as supervise and teach residents and fellows both in inpatient and outpatient settings.  This includes surgical activities at UMHC, JMH, and VA.  

Will also provide Urology in-patient consultations and emergency on-call.  

Requirements: 

M.D. or equivalent degree from an accredited medical school. Completion of an ACGME-accredited Urology residency training program. Board-certified or Board-eligible in Urology 

Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Florida. Demonstrated clinical experience and/or fellowship training with a focus in Oncologic Urology.
